Establish your visual anchor and map out the 90-second instructional flow before you ever set a keyframe.
By the end of Week 2, you must have a locked visual system and a comprehensive storyboard. You are defining the "look and feel" of the film and the logical transitions between all 10 motion principles.
Your moodboard should explicitly define your Visual Anchor:
Map the 90-second journey. You must show how one scene flows into the next:
Appeal is not "polished later." In this phase, ask yourself: Does this character have charisma? Is the color palette magnetic? If the design is boring in the storyboard, it will be boring in the final render. Appeal starts now.
While drawing your boards, imagine the sounds. Does a smear sound like a "zip" or a "woosh"? Write these SFX notes directly on your storyboards -- it will make your Week 2 Animatic much easier to build.
Avoid "floating" shapes in a void. Design a Visual Environment. Even if it's minimal, your Hero needs a stage to perform on so that principles like "Mass and Weight" have a surface to interact with.
