Final Submission
The Signature Project is complete. Submit the final motion package, process archive, case study, and collected project files.
The Finish Line
This submission should feel like a professional portfolio package. You are not only turning in an animation; you are showing the concept, process, design system, final deliverables, and your ability to manage a long-form project.
Lane 1: Brand Motion System
- Main brand spot feels client-ready.
- Logo, type, color, and motion system are consistent.
- Supporting assets look like a real campaign package.
Lane 2: Story / Explainer Film
- Main film communicates the idea clearly.
- Story, pacing, captions, and visual metaphors support comprehension.
- Supporting assets extend or promote the explanation.
Lane 3: Culture / Entertainment Package
- Main piece has a memorable hook, rhythm, and payoff.
- Visual world feels distinct and portfolio-worthy.
- Supporting assets feel ready for a launch, event, show, artist, or campaign.
Part 1: Main Motion Piece
- Final .MP4 or .MOV render.
- Clean audio mix, captions/type, and final polish.
- Correct resolution and export settings.
- Watch the final export before submitting.
Part 2: Supporting Assets
- 3-5 supporting motion assets, cutdowns, title cards, posters, thumbnails, or system pieces.
- Assets should feel connected to the main piece.
- Export each asset separately and label clearly.
Part 3: Process + Case Study PDF
- Project brief, audience, and lane.
- Research, moodboards, styleframes, boards, motion tests, and animatic.
- Final deliverables shown together.
- Short reflection on what changed and what you learned.
Part 4: Collected Project Folder
- Use After Effects Collect Files when possible.
- Include assets, fonts, audio, renders, and source files.
- Remove unused junk and clearly name folders.
- Zip the complete root folder.
⚠️
Submission Pitfall
Do not upload only the .AEP file. If your assets are missing, the project is incomplete. Submit the final render separately from the zipped source package.
