🌱 START HERE: The "Essential" Folder

If you get overwhelmed by the amount of files, just focus on this folder first. It contains the specific tools, scripts, and presets that I will reference directly in lectures. Cross-reference this with the Required Scripts & Plugins page.

How to Unlock Full Access (Upload Permissions)

Getting Write Access

By default, you have Read-Only access (downloads only). To upload large files or submit work that missed a Canvas lock, you need Write Access.

1. You need a Google Email. If you don't have one, I highly recommend creating one for this course. It is the only way to get upload permissions.
2. Give me your address. I will circulate a sign-up sheet in class. If you miss class, send it to me via Discord.

What's Inside the Drive?

Feel free to raid these folders for your personal projects, capstones, or experiments.

After Effects

Project Files: Deconstruct pro files to see how they organize layers.
Scripts & Plugins: A massive collection of utility scripts.
Presets: Drag-and-drop animations.

3D & Unreal

3D Models: Characters, vehicles, and animals.
Blender Addons: Power tools for Blender.
Element 3D: Optimized textures/models.
VDBs: Volumetric clouds and smoke.

General Assets

Stock Footage: Clips for compositing.
Textures: Grunges, metals, papers.
Sound Design: Whooshes, hits, ambience.
Books: PDFs on design theory.

The "Upload Folders"

Once you are added to the permissions list, use the folder named UPLOAD FOLDERS for:

1. Large File Transfer

Discord has file limits. Use this for large renders or project files for troubleshooting.

2. Late Work

If the Canvas portal closes, drop files here. (Mercy is occasional, don't make it a habit.)
