The Motion Manifesto
Discovery, Identity, and Artistic Vision. This is where you dig into who you are as a creator.

A Private Exercise
This document is for your eyes and mine only. Because this project is about self-exploration, I want you to be brutally honest. You don't need to perform for your classmates here. Use this space to dig into the truth of who you are as a creator.
The Professional Insight Prompts
Answer the following questions in a narrative or bulleted format. Don't worry about "sounding professional" -- worry about being authentic.
The Origin
Look Back:
- What was the first piece of animation or design that actually made your jaw drop?
- Why did you choose Motion Design specifically over static design or traditional film?
- What is the "creative DNA" you brought with you to this school? (e.g., a love for skating, gaming, fine art, or music).
The Now
Check In:
- Why are you where you are right now? What is the most important lesson you've learned this year?
- When you are in a "flow state," what tool or technique are you using?
- What excites you most about the current state of the industry? (or what frustrates you enough to want to change it?)
The Vision
Look Ahead:
- 5 Years: What does your daily "grind" look like? Are you at a major studio, a boutique shop, or running your own show?
- 10 Years: What is your "Dream Project"? If budget and tech were no object, what are you building?
- What is the one skill or style you want to be famous for in a decade?
How to Use This for Your Film
Once you've answered these, look for the Visual Threads. If you are excited about 3D futuristic UI, your video should look like 2035. If your origin is in grit and street art, your video should feel tactile and textured.
Deliverable: Submit a 500-800 word reflection based on these prompts to the private assignment link.
